A friend of mine who teaches in a Kolkata college says that on his visits to his colleagues' homes, he rarely sees books. One of his colleagues once offered to give him a rackful of books because he needed space to put a bigger TV. He supplemented his offer with the statement, "I know you love books. He! He!"

My friend refused, rudely.

Since I know how much you and Bhawani love books and reading, I can say this without the fear of being misunderstood. I loved to visit your house cluttered with books, which also attract dust passionately. In fact, it is only when Nandini and I think of doing something about the clutter that we miss the mandatory SBT transfers. It sure helped to junk "useful" stuff and declutter. Been in the same house for over 10 years now, and I yearn for a "transfer" to set the Clutter issue right. Till then we shall continue collecting stuff.Damunoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29606715.post-62660586363742547042010-06-08T04:02:37.042-07:002010-06-08T04:02:37.042-07:00I guess that will be akin to a part of your soul l...I guess that will be akin to a part of your soul leaving youanilkurup59https://www.blogger.com/profile/07961961217418715354noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29606715.post-17714409194324931842010-06-08T01:29:34.422-07:002010-06-08T01:29:34.422-07:00Oh my God, no takers for books!!
